most worn: fall ♥

14.11.12

well, fall is definitely over in this part of the country (UT!) so here's the most worn fall things list ♥ enjoy ♥

Most worn fragrances ♥
Dream Angels Heavenly by Victoria Secret, this one is just a body spray but it smells nice and it lingers for a couple of hours. I like it because I can reapply it during the day just to have some new fresh smell ♥

This is the only Chanel anything that I own. I got it for my birthday this year and I absolutely love it. I only wear it for special occasions because I wouldn't be able to buy it for myself, but every time I wear it, it just makes me feel really fancy ♥

Most worn foundation ♥
This one is not really a foundation, its a BB cream. If you don't know: a BB cream is a tinted moisturizer, that is also anti-aging, priming, brightening cream. I would't say this one is a true BB cream, but i love it. It's more of a tinted and texturizing moisturizer. It's really light and it leaves my skin soft and velvety. It doesn't provide a lot of coverage, so if you need to cover something you would have to do it separately. It comes out as a white cream with little grains in it and when you blend it in, it gives a little bit of color, but mostly to even out your natural skin tone. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a really natural look ♥

Most worn blush ♥
I've had this one for a very long time. I feel like I use it and then I find something else, but I always go back to this one and this fall I've been really liking it. It matches my complexion and looks really natural ♥

Most worn mascara ♥
Ok, so I have long lashes already, but for some reason I always get attracted to mascaras that make them look even longer. This one is truly a winner! It makes your lashes way longer than they are and it doesn't look too fake. It's not the kind of mascara that makes your lashes look really soft and touchable though. It's just really glam and fancy ♥

Most worn eye shadows ♥
The most worn eye shadows of the fall are L’Oreals HiP Studio Secrets metallic shadow in Gilded and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha. These are definitely fall staples. The gold shadow makes your eyes really pop. I have brown eyes, so I'm not sure what kind of effect it would have on other colors, but I wear it to dress up kinds of events. The NYX shadow is a really great investment for anyone in a rush, it's super quick to put on and it looks awesome ♥

Most worn lip product ♥
Revlon Color Burst Lip butter in Strawberry Shortcake is the softest "lipstick" I've ever used. Okay, so it's not really a lipstick, it's more of a really tinted lip balm. They have them in all sorts of colors, this pink one is my favorite though. It makes your lips super soft and moisturized, which lately my lips really have needed ♥

 Most "worn"/used skin care ♥
I'm not sure why, but at the beginning of this fall my skin just had a super dry and painful episode. This has never happened to me before, I normally have normal to oily skin and never really had to use extra moisturizer. The only saving and relief that I got was when I started using Simple moisturizer. It's really light and helps with oil, I would think that a moisturizer would do the opposite but this one just helps it keep under control, it's really the best moisturizer I have ever used. Also, when I had really dry skin, it would flake and make my face look really rough. I have yet to find any better exfoliating product than the Apricot scrub. Both of them are really inexpensive and work great together.

Most worn accessories ♥
My pearl bracelets from H&M have been a go to accessory this season. I just feel like they pull the outfits together and add a nice classy look. ♥ My flower stud earrings from Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl's have also been used for almost any occasion  I'm not the biggest fan of dangly earrings for myself, but I do like to wear something and these are just cute and subtle enough for everyday. ♥ With the weather changing, my zebra scarf has kept me warm on many mornings and dressed up many simple and quick outfits for school. Plus, it always gets compliments ♥

Most worn bag ♥
This is my school bag, it is the most worn and used because I am in school the whole week. This is it's third year in school and it still looks like new (it had a worn out look from the beginning ;) We can do it bag! ♥

Most worn shoes ♥
These are the best (and the most expensive) shoes I have ever owned! I am in love with them! So comfortable, cute with pretty much anything. I can wear them all day without my feet getting tired. They are soft leather, I can wear them laced up all the way or laced half way. They're kind of tough, but lady like at the same time. Steve Madden nailed it and got the absolute perfection this time. My favorites ♥  p.s. i almost wrote most worn out shoes, which would fit these because i wear them a lot :)

What are your fall favorites? With the seasons changing, what keeps you warm and dressed up?
Have a great week,

Tandoori Oven

3.10.12

a clean plate, which never happens anywhere else :)

Before I met Sean I've never had Indian food and I was never interested in trying it, the culture and the food was something that I wasn't familiar with so I never even thought about eating indian food, the only Indian person I knew was my pediatrician. Tandoori Oven is a little restaurant located really close to Utah State University campus where we go to school, but even then I was never interested in going there because it looks like a gas station and it is a part of a gas station. In defense of the look from the outside, it looks like a home-y gas station and not scary at all. The first time we went to Tandoori Oven was three years ago, when we just got married. It's definitely not what you would expect it to look like judging from the outside. First you get greeted by a little Indian lady, she is always there and is very sweet. Depending when you go it might be busy or slower, but no matter when we have gone there are always people there. During lunch they serve a buffet, it costs $7.50 (great price, especially for what you get and the quality and tastiness of their food), I think it's between 12-2 and it's usually really busy and filled with students. If you want a more quiet feel you should go on a game day (during the game) or between 3-5ish. The buffet is really good, we've gotten it several times. They usually have a couple of curries that you can choose from, naan bread, fruit, salad, indian chips, rice and little fried balls that I was always too full to try, I think they are a dessert.
While the buffet is really great for the price you are paying, our favorite is just ordering from the menu. It's a little bit more expensive but totally and absolutely worth it. Last time we went I got a lamb curry ($10.50) and buttered naan bread. It was amazing. I never ever finish food at any other restaurant, but at Tandoori Oven I always leave a clean plate. You can specify the hotness of curry that you would like, but I always get mild (i like to taste my food). Sean got a different lamb curry, they have several to choose from and they do come with rice already, so if you go don't order more rice.
Another great thing about this little place is the service. The people who work there are the nicest servers I have ever met, depending on how busy it is the front little lady will come and say hi as well. You will always have water and as much rice as you need.
Overall it is a great place to go out to on a date, a quick dinner or a family get together, it's definitely a perfect place to try, especially if you never had indian food before.

Tony Grove, UT

30.9.12

I just can't get enough of the leaves this year. It's so amazing up the canyon right now and the weather is totally gorgeous, not-too-hot not-too-cold type. On Saturday we drove up to Tony's Grove and enjoyed the absolutely perfect weather, there were so many gold leaves at the lake and the water was super clear even the chipmunks were out :)

i'm in love with this picture of the lake
